When I was waiting for my surgery I stayed on a "liquid" diet for weeks. You can drink cans of Ensure or Boost, you can have broths, yogurt, ice cream (if you can tolerate dairy) and you can get creative if you have a blender or food processor. You can take just about
any food and add broth, milk, or water and put it in a blender or food processor and make a liquid out of it. I even did it with my noodle soups, scrambled eggs, etc. Of course the softer foods will be easiest to get down, but I even "liquified" a well cooked and tender chicken breast with a little broth.
The more liquified, the easier it passes, and the less chance of getting an obstruction and/or pain and nausea.

Six resection surgeries, permanent ostomy, adverse reactions to Remicade, finally off of Prednisone, back on 6MP for maintenance, hoping for a long remission from this last surgery.
