I forgot to take my Entocort and Pentasa this morning!

Should I go home at lunch and take it (it's far)??

Or do you think I can just 'miss' the Entocort today and just take all the Pentasa tonight?

Don't double up your dose of pentasa, but take your entocort when you get home (with food)

I normally take two 500mg capsules of pentasa 3 times per day but my gi doc told me that if it is easier for me I could take the same total amount in 2 divided doses, so that would be 3 in the morning and 3 in the evening. He said it was better if smaller amounts go to the small intestine more frequently but if it means forgetting, then I should do it twice. So it seems like it is ok to go over the 1 gram in one dose but I'm not sure I would double it without calling to check.

When I forget to take something, I call my doctor to check, especially when dealing with steroids.  Just my two cents though :-) !  Take care!

Thanks for all the advice.  Unfortunately I just got too preoccupied and worried about it - so I zoomed home at lunch and took them.  I didn't want to take the entocort too late or it makes me stay stay awake at night.  I'll just take the two remaining doses of Pentasa this afternoon and evening.

Anyhoo... Thanks for letting me share my freak-out moment!

Have a good weekend!
