Hi! Just wondering if there is anybody out there that has become pregnant and had a successful full term pregnancy while either being on Remicade or after shortly coming off it? In Australia there is very limited info about it, Dr said to wait 3 - 6 mths after coming off it to attempt pregnancy. I would rather try sooner than later after discontinuing (I don't want to wait 6mths!), but need some info and experiences from others about it.

Welcome to HW! I am a fairly new member, but have found MUCH support here thus far. I too am interested in getting pregnant, but only if I can stay on the remicade. There are several women on here who will share their experiences with you about having healthy full term babies while still on Remicade. In the US there is also limited info about remicade and pregnancy as it is still considered a "new" drug with very limited studies. I had my daughter during a major flare before being officially diagnosed and I would never go through that pain again!! I have spoken with several doctors including my GI specialist who feel it is safer to stay on treatment then to go off and chance a flare up while pregnant. Good Luck in your search for info.

Click on my user name to get my email. I'll tell you all about it. I've had 2 remicade babies and am planning to have 2 more. You don't need to go off remicade or wait 3-6 months to start trying. Email me!
