My history is below,
I am flying into Jacksonville on Tuesday to try to get better treatment,
am I crazy?
I heard that Mayo clinic is the best in the country
Any thought?
Posted a few times in the past week
I have had 5 transfusions and 2 episodes of bleeding over the past week
The doctors have scoped be top and bottom as far as they can go, and found no active bleeding
I was scheduled for a capsule endoscopy, did it and the capsule is now lodged in me for the past 4 weeks (No obstruction though)
I am a crohns patient for 15 years (1 resection 2 years ago), this is the first time I ever bled
What is going on with me

Thanks for the note

The massive bleeding stopped 4 weeks ago,

but I have occult bleeding that has brought my iron count down to 7.8 and hematocrit to 25

I am going into the hospital tommorw for 2 units of blood

Looking forward to meeting with the doctor's at Mayo, I heard they are the best in the country, that is why I am going all the way out there

The Mayo clinic in ROCHESTER, Minnesotta, is the best in the country.
NOT the Mayo clinic in Florida.

The following link takes you to the hospital ranking from the US News & World Report:
