do you feel like all you do is wait? for tests to be scheduled, prepped, happen, results, appt, new test, new med, and on and on. I have spent almost two years waiting and still with no answers. thanks for being there to lsiten.
yp, who is currently WAITING to hear about her bowel transit marker test!
48 y/o woman.  Diagnosed 4/06 after colonscopy, SBFT, CT-scan all showed crohns. 3 months later, after pred and remicade, all tests showed no crohns. In December had adhesions cut through a laparoscopy. Now just taking Glycolax, metamucil and vicidin as needed.

Instead of "patients," maybe they should call us "patience."

That was a good one Jon. I believe Crohns is the disease of hurry up and wait!

I can identify completely, not so much now but in past years. Always waiting for a consultation appt with some specialist, always waiting for test results, waiting to see if a med works or not. This has been going on for 10 years. I'm now winding down but its not over. I'm scheduled for a barium swallow the end of December .They think I might have reflux without any of the usual symptoms. That would be typical of me. I had H.pylori and had no stomach symptoms and probably crohn's without gi symptoms for a long time.

The waiting got better when I forced myself to make the appt and then forget about it. I realize this isn't easy to do until a certain amount of time and frustration has passed.

hehe Nanners...crohns is the disease of hurry up & wait!

yp, I am sorry to hear that you are still waiting for your results.I sure hope that you find out soon.

I am a very impatient person who hates to wait for anything(I am currently working on this tho, haha).I am scheduled to have my first mammogram next week,I figure that I might go off the deep end waiting to hear the results.

I am sorry you are having to hurry up and wait............

We have been fortunate and have always had the same surgeon, GI and Internal Med physician in the 32 year history of my hubbies Crohn's Disease.

No waiting, and the tests were always indicative of what was expected, Crohn's as well as an abcess one time.

I will have to say we have been fortunate and I pray our luck stays with us.

My heart goes out to all of you and I live with this disease every day.

Everytime my hubby gets a fever or gut ache I am sure our luck has run out, but we are holding.

Take care.

Hey Prof, it totally blows doesn't it? All this waiting...for what? I wonder what it is we're waiting for sometimes...like all of a sudden they'll be like, dingalingaling! "Woah, dude, we totally missed that! Silly us!"

Sigh...that'd be nice, eh?

You hang in there. I'll hang there with you. How 'bout that tree, over there? Looks like a good place to hang.
