cool  Good morning to you all, have a quick question and update.  Went to GI doc last week. Decreased pred to 10mg per day, he hopes to get me off completely soon.  Increased Imuran to 100mg per day. Does Imuran go with your weight? I am up to 109 lbs now. Only almost all of it is in the very middle, how in the world do you "re-distribute" the pred weight from the belly to other parts that need it?  I look like a fat chicken!!!!! sad   Anyway, I am feeling better, hadn't had any real pain for a couple weeks til last nite, could have been the tacos??? or the Christmas candy??? hahaha  Now, I need to know when the pred will stop causing changes in my vision.  I need glassed BAD!!!  I got these just before I was diagnosed, the pred has changed my vision so much, I really can't see.  I also already had cataracs starting, especially in the right eye, now I can tell it is really gotten worse, the doc said cataracs was a side effect of the pred.  Lovely.  I am only 51, a little early for this crap isn't it?????    Anyway,. how soon do ya think I could get new glasses and not have to do it again in 3 months!!!!?    Thanks folks!!!   Oh yea,  daughter went for doc appt, baby girl is still in there!!lol   She weighs about 4 lbs now.  The contractions are getting stronger and harder but as dau takes her pill every 4 hrs and lays down (lots), she has managed to keep them from causing more dilation.  We gotta make thru Dec!!!!  Remember, baby girl is not due til Jan28.  Dau's first child was born at 33 weeks, we just passed that milestone last week,, so we are getting there!!!    See ya all later!!

I can't answer the vision ?, but I can help with the imuran ?.  They usually start out dosing according to weight, but you need to have a prometheus propredict metabolite blood test done, if you haven't.  This will tell if you are in your theraputic range without any toxicity.  I was just taken off of imuran after 3 years, because after doing well on it, I started getting toxic, and even after lowering my dose, I was then not in my theraputic range but with high toxicity.
Keep us updated on the grand baby!  4 pounds...she's doing great!

I know while on Pred it can increase the pressure in your eyes and that might be the cause of your vision problems. I suffered with that right before my last resection. Once off the Pred it should get better. At least mine did.
Been living with Crohn's Disease for 32 years.  Currently on Asacol, Prilosec 60 mg, Estrace, Prinivil, Diltiazem, Percoset prn for pain and Calcium.  Resections in 2002 and 2005.  Recently diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and doing tests to see if I have Inflammatory Arthritis or AS.
