Stomach pain at the gym?

So I tried out this free personal trainer session, and boy was it tough on my stomach.  He utlized the ball (i have one at home but I have a big one, he used a smaller size ball) and boy oh boy, it killlled my stomach.  I definitely want to tone my abs but there was one exercise where my position was so awful I started to feel like I was going to gag. . .It was one where you lie on the ball and go down and up with your upper body.  I just stuck with it, I didn't want to complain or make excuses but boy was it frustrating to have nausau carry over to my work out sessions...maybe it was just that I should have eaten more before going.  I had breakfast, but there wasn't really any protein in it.  I don't know.  I guess I just need to suck it up and work through it. ..
23 year old female, diagnosed with Crohn's in 2002 after being misdiagnosed with Lyme Disease for a year.  Currently on 75 mg of Mercaptopurine.  Have been on Prednisone, Asacol, and Remicade in the past.

I can't work out my abs much either. In fact, anytime I push my body to hard I get D. I have now resolved to do lower impact exercises and save the abs for days I feel great. Even then I limit myself to about 15 or so crunches in each position. Now more ab targeted work outs for me. My stomach will just have to be au natural.
26 Year old married female.  Diagnosed w/ CD 3 years ago, IBS for over 10 years before that, which was probably the CD.  Currently on Pentasa 4 pills/4x day, hysociamine prn, nexium, and ortho evra.  Good times!!!

I love working out my abs, granted I'm a lucky crohnie that never really had alot of gut pain...I NEVER eat before working out...I like working out on an empty stomach because I don't want it to cause any cramping or encourage BM's during my workouts, even though I workout at home I don't like being interupted for any reason while doing so because you have to be in the frame of mind when working out...stick with it and try different things, maybe just a yogurt smoothie a couple of hours BEFORE working out if you can't wait until after.

Good for you for including exercise in your life, it's well worth all the benefits, be patient and you will see results across the board.

My bum is broken....there's a big crack down the middle of it!  LOL  :)

I miss the gym...I was going 3 to  4 times a week before I flared in its been 3 months almost that I have been...I loved how the gym made me feel and look...lean, sixpack, toned arms, defined I am puffy from prednisone and have no energy to go...Im actually scared to go and strain to hard or something...It sucks....
