Well, i was just diagnosed with cfrd and i am currently in the hospital and i was wondering whether or not that having a lung infection will cause cfrd and that once the infection will leave so will the cfrd, or will i always have cfrd from now on.

Hi there, welcome too Healingwell.

CFRD can be started by many things including lung infections, just feeling a bit under the weather, having IV's or steroids.

If you're having a course of IV's, it may just stick around for while you are having IV's, then go away again when you're feeling a bit better. My understanding is that CFRD is just as random as CF itself is, and things can happen without rhyme or reason.
It's going to be a case of 'wait and see what happens'. It might stick with you, but it might not. In the meantime try not to stress too much about it, as stress will only make it worse. Talk to us more if you need too :-)
