Hello, I am completely new to this forum.
I'm 18 years old with CF. I have a twin sister, who also has CF and both of us have problems with polyps.
My ENT doctor has told me that people with CF get nasal polyps much more frequently than those without.
I have had two surgeries in my life to remove these annoying things. They are such a nuisance.
I was just wondering, does anyone else here have this problem?

Hello Abbs,

I don't get problems with my polyps yet (though noone ever looks up my nose to see, and I'm forever have nose bleeds).

You're right, nasal polyps in CF is very common! Sorry to hear you have had to go through 2 ops to have them removed. That must be a real pain!

Have fun posting on the forums

Thanks for the response!
It really hasn't been that bad. Two surgeries, yes. But one was in June 1998 and the other was March 2009... so all in all, an eleven year gap isn't too bad.

hi, i had nasal polyps until i was 13 i had them removed and so far they havent returned yet and im 20 now, although i had a bad experience when i had mine out, i was told not to sneeze but hey when you need to your gonna, well i did bout 6 hours after surgary and i lost a heck of alot of blood, i wouldn't go through that again. one thing i will say though is when i had mine i could swim without getting water up my nose, now theres no chance and it hurts more i cant stand getting water up there. x x
