Im in my first year of collage at the University of Indiana. I had a good relationship that ended over the summer. I look so young is hard to meet to girls in school. No one stops me but those who I meet in class and then learn my age and that I have CF and had a transplant when I tell them. Any others oout there that have the same problem meeting new b/f/ g/f's?

DONT TRIP ON MEETING PEOPLE.. YOU JUST HAVE TO STEP UP AND MAKE THE FIRST MOVE... I AM 31 WITH CF.. 5-8 130LBS. AND FIND IT HARD TO TRY AND COMPETE FOR GIRLS WITH THE BIGGER GUYS AROUND. BUT THEN I REMEMBER TO JUST BE MYSELF AND NOT TO WORRY TO MUCH about WHAT OTHER PEOPLE THINK OF MY YOUNGER LOOKING APPERANCE...

Just a thought here.....where do people really come from? their hearts or their appearance?

If your heart says to be yourself and enjoy what life you do have....you will flourish! if trying too hard to meet is not bringing returns, its not meant to be. Wait for that special person to find you, she, may be a pot of gold!!.

I am a girl with CF, I am 18 years old, 4 foot 9 and 85 pbs. I just started college. I not only have a difficult time meeting guys who belive I am 18, but when I do, they usually turn and run the fist time I am admited to the hospital.

a lot of my friends with CF who are older have found good guys, so that gives me hope.

Lauren, I know the feeling, I am 18 (almost 19) and the other day I was carded for a PG 13 movie!!! it drives me nuts! I am at collage and have moved out of my parents house. I go places and strangers will aske me where my mother is! it is incredably frustrating. I just broke up with my first boyfriend (turns out he just thought I was little and cute) but I know some guys are different, they are just harder to find, and probibly well worth the effort. I have some friends who are older with CF and have great guys. once people get you know you they have no trouble beleaving your age. usually I try to shug it off, but I have to admit that the ocational sharp responce to somone who thinks I am 10 goes a long way to makeing me feel better (untill the guilt kicks in anyway.)
