HI, this is a topic that I have had first hand experience. If I were you, talking with a macho coach is a joke. and there are many of them. If he cant understand, i suggest next the principal and then on up the scale, then to the school board. If then they wont listen to you, by law you can have a case worker, a child advocate, at no expense to you who is a person who will then handle your situation. I am a patient person who also has the backbone of a sweet little bull dog.

Please let us know how it works out. I know that the result will be for you and your Son.....best regards Cathy
I am 62 years old. I was diagnosed with clinical depression 30 yrs. ago. Followed by: Fibromyalgia, spinal stenosis, arthritis, Neuropathy in both feet and lower legs for 8 years. Recently have neuropathy like burning in both hands and arms, possibly from damage to my neck.. I was diagnosed with diabetes about 4 months ago so my neuropathy is still diagnosed as idiopathic. Fibro and CFS.

the coach has conditioning requirements because high school athletics is competitive. if your son can not make the time, he should not be allowed to play on the team if that rule applies to all players.

i'm sure there are other teams your son can play soccer on, just not this one because the level of conditioning required by the coach. i bet this team is pretty good and that is why the mile time of 5:30min is set.

if i were you, i wouldn't waste my time with this team and trying to get the coach to bend the rules. find another team to play on where your son will get to play as much as he can.
