There have been many TV shows and films that portray what Cystic Fibrosis is really like. Some are a lot more realistic than others.

Which are your favourite/least favourite and why?

In the UK we have hospital shows. Casualty and Holby city among my favourites, occasionally they do a story about a CF patient and there are always so many holes to pick in it.

In America you currently have the Red Band Society. I've been watching it aswell. I'm addicted to the storyline but again they don't really portray Dash, the kid with CF, very well.

The documentary, 65redroses was really good. I think because they had someone with CF telling the story.

What other shows are out there, are there any good ones worth a watch?

I do like to watch hospital or medical shows, but find most of them have a lot of inaccuracies in them. I guess television makes the facts fit the story they want to tell, instead of writing a story reflecting the facts.

Yeh I think it's that way too Judy.

There's another American film called Foreverland, which was good, I enjoyed it and it hit a few good touchy feely parts. But the rest of it just felt like it was trying to hard to be a best seller. It was written and directed by a guy with CF so was really expecting it to feel more real.

I saw Foreverland. I found it to be a bit sad too.
