Have you been told a tidbit peice of information from your CF Care Center ONLY that ALL CFer's could use?  Well share it here.

This info could have come from:  Doctors, Nurses, Respiratory Therapists, Nutritionists, Social Workers, Insurance Personnel...etc.  If you have questions about what a person had posted in this tidbit room, always check with your healthcare provider for more accurate information.

Please, no advertising to break the forum rules.  "Please be direct and to the point".

Here's my example:

"No over the counter cold medication with a cough suppressant".

Here's a home remedy for kids or adults with CF who are excessivly salty when they sweat or during the summer (salt crystals forming on the skin): take a tablespoon of kool-aid and add a half teaspoon to a teaspoon of salt. Drnk it down. You can have 1-2 tablespoons of this, and it will help balance the salt in your body.

During the warmer weather, salty food such as popcorn, crackers, etc. are good snacks. Make sure alot of fluids are consumed frequently. Also, when in the heat for extended periods of time, pedialyte is beneficial--especially with smaller kids. 6-8 ounces goes a long way in helping to stay hydrated.
