Our 1 year old was being tested for Cystic Fibrosis.  She does not have all of the symptoms.  She grows fine but she has frequent respiratory infections.  CF runs in my family however we don't know about my husbands family.  Do these results mean that she does not have CF?  It said it is possible that she is a carrier but requires further analysis. Has anyone been faced with this issue?

Yes,
See it takes a mother and father to both carry the cf gene. If your child is a carrier then she has the gene but not CF. If both parents have the gene the out of four kids one will have cf two will be carriers and one will be fine. If your child is a carrier then when they look at having kids they need to have gene testing done. To see if the other parent had the cf gene. I hope that this helps. Both of my kids are carriers.
