I am the mom of an 18 year old daughter with cf who has been pretty healthy until about
3 years ago...when her culture came back with alcaligenes. She hasn't had pseudomonus since she was very small but the alcaligenes has become drug resistant to most antibiotics and seems to be the root of evil for her recent hospitalizations. This bacteria seems to be rare and the docs don't seem to know much about
it and how best to treat it. Has anyone else encountered this in their cultures? Any information would be helpful.
Blessed Mom
