It was a DBSA support group. I had a lot of fun. It was quite interesting to hear other people talk about experiences similar to mine. Its comforting to know that other people are dealing with their illness and coping really well... it also made me feel less alone. in a sense, because i shared my experiences with them, they are now my friends, so basically i earned 8 new friends today! a bigger group meets on thursdays, and i cant wait to go to that one too... i also have CBT therapy group on Wednesdays, i attended the first meeting last week.
i feel that ive done a lot of good things in the past month.

You sure have Eli,

And I am so proud of you. You have taken some huge steps in the last month or so. You are feeling the accomplishment of what you have done. It might be hard at times, but you will make it. You are in the process of getting better. I am so happy for you.

Hugs, Karen

Heej Eli!

Awesome to hear that you found new friends and a new thing to enjoy! You truly make my day with this message! I had a little group-therapy session myself Friday, and I still feel good, even two days after that!

Keep it up Eli, you rock!

Dear Eli,  I couldn't be happier for you.  I am so glad you went to the meeting and now you have some new friends.  Remember when I said I go to DBSA meetings and they were really helpful?  Well now you know what a great support group it is and that you truly can get help and get better.  I am very proud of you - I know it is never easy to go into a group not knowing anyone but this is a group that wants to help and support one another. You are taking the right steps to help yourself.  Today a meeting, tomorrow the world. You can do whatever you make up your mind to.  Take good care of yourself, my friend - I am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.  And it was so good to come on the forum and read your post!

Many hugs,
