I think it was Saturday night when I was laying in bed and realized I hadnt taken my Paxil that morning, I thought, uh wont matter.
Before I continue on, let it be known that I know how dangerous it can be to discontinue a medication rather than wean off
But, anyways...I had started feeling bad on Saturday, coughing...and then I went outside(huge mistake) because my allergies went CRAZY and I bet I sneezed a few hundred times this weekend! But then around mid-day yesterday I realized I had forgotten to take it that morning as well..And I started feeling worse...
I didnt know the withdrawal symptoms until I looked them up yesterday and then realized that my being sick could be my own fault for accidently missing those doses. btw, I did decide to go and take my medicine rather than to ignore it(good choice).
I am feeling slightly better today. Im still coughing and have an earache, but Im sneezing way less. So, I think between misses those doses and being outside I was coming down with a major cold! Plus, everyone at my house has been sick for several several weeks...
Lyrica(15 months on, but now officially off of it!) and Paxil(about 6+- months)

Heej Christi (?),

darn, already forget, though I did know your name a few months ago.

Anyway, good to hear that now things are going a bit better. Yea, and the stupid colds are also present here, half the men and women I know have been struck by it in the last two weeks. Thankfully the waters are calming again.

But how are you doing? I'd love to hear from you if you forgive me the silence from my part during the absence.

Take care!

Hey christy,

I think you are right on, the missed doses kicked you into some withdrawal sx. The half-life value for healthy subjects appears to be about 24 hours with Paxil.

Half-life: time taken for blood concentration to fall to half its peak value after a single dose. This time may vary considerably between individuals.

I just got over a icky cold but you have allergies too.  Ouch, nasty time of year for people with allergies.  Hope your feeling better soon.
