sad  Yesterday I saw my 83 yo mom in intensive care she has MRSA and had to have her heart shocked and be intubated.  I've been crying- I love her so much.  It is killing my father.  My brother lives with them and does NOT accept nor understand my many years of depression-mental illness.  It is sad.  Asked mom to think positive and be strong.  She wants to go home.  Send a prayer to Dorothy M. for me please.  Help me get through this...I take events, crisis awfully hard.  thanks

Welcome to HealingWell and I know you will find comfort and peace here with the wonderful members.
We understand anxiety and depression.
I am so  sorry about your Mom and being intubated and unable to talk to you must be so very frightening for her but hold her hand and tell her you love her.  Do not be afraid of all the equipment being used.  Remember you have the  right to be with her as much as possible and do not worry about what others think.
My prayers are being offered for Dorothy M.
Bless you,

Hi Blue,

I too am praying for your mom. I know that this is hard for you, but know that there is power in prayer. Hopefully soon she will be off of the machine.

Keep posting and let us know how things are going.

Hello Blue,

I'm sorry to hear about your Mom's condition.  I pray that the LORD will give you and your family peace and comfort to face this trial.  I also pray that you will be able to stay strong.

I'm over here praying for you and your mom, too. Praying for her strength, praying for comfort for you and your brother and father, praying for your brother to become more understanding of you. I was very, very close to my mom, too, and I know this must be so hard on you. She knows that you love her, I can guarantee it, and your love and the bond that you share is going to be a big part of her strength and her peace during this crisis. I can imagine your whole focus must be on your mom's condition right now. Just make sure to try and get some rest if at all possible. You need to keep up your strength, too. Much love and many prayers to you.

I said a quick prayer after reading this for you, your mother, and your family. I know God loves you and that in him we can be strong. you are strong for enduring depression for years, so you are meant for good things. God bless.
