Give that effexor a little more time to work. I am sure that it will help you when it kicks in. It takes a good four to six weeks to get going. Even though you are already taking it. I take 375 mg a day. That is the highest dose you can take. Though I noticed when they added abilify, the effexor really kicked in. And the abilify really helped my moods.
Try not to beat yourself up for not feeling good. That is a huge part of the depression. Try to go with the flow of things and don't be so hard on yourself. I know that we all want immediate results, but that isn't possible. So in the meantime, give yourself a break. You are a good person and you will start seeing that soon. Probably within another week or two. So be patient my friend.
Soon you will get back into the activities that you use to do. But it may be a gradual process. Nothing happens over night, though we wish that it did. Or maybe you will find new things to do which is good too. You are making remarkable progress, though it might not seem like it, but later down the road, you will come to realize that.
Well I have to get moving, time to walk the dogs, and then get ready for work. You have a wonderful day. Do stay in the moment and take things as they come. Give yourself a break. You really are trying and that is going to show.
