Having a bad week

I'm really low today, having a really bad week and just feeling really alone.

Hi Pastoram,

There must be something in the air, though I have said this before, a lot of people are feeling just like you this week. Me included. But I am trying so hard to stay in the moment and get through it.

Maybe you could tell us a little about what is going on so we could try to help you. Mine is work. I know that every job that I get, there is always somebody that is going to make it not so pleasant. Well, I have found that person. Now it is up to me to stand my ground and tell them to just let me do my work and stay out of my way. There are other things that concern me with this person, who I don't want to, but I might have to, talk to the boss about. Fun fun fun. I hate these situations.

My problem is keeping work at work and not bringing it home with me. I am trying so hard to stay in the moment and enjoy my life. So maybe that is what you are going through also. Not being able to stay in the moment. I am useing meditation to help me. If it doesn't work, I will talk to my doctor about increasing some of my medication. The medication stops my obsessive thinking. In fact I think I will call him tomorrow and talk about it. Or my psychologist, she will help me.

But I just want you to know that you aren't alone in this. Maybe you can tell us more about your situation so that we can help you.

Hi Pastoram,

I'm glad you came back to the forum. I think the last time you were here you were just about to change therapists. How did that go?

Karen is right....there is something in the air these days. I woke up feeling very low myself this morning.

Please share with us, if you feel up to it. We'd like to hear about it, and help if we can.

Oh yes, there is something in the air! Unfortunately, I have been outside a lot lately and was unlucky enough to breath a ton of that air in...

I have been the same this week. Very depressed. I'm even sure why. For Karen, work. But for me, I have no idea. I have changed a few things including eating healthier, trying to cut out caffeine(again), and be more active by going outside and doing more...get in touch with nature is what I like to refer to it as! Its been nice. I feel like Im doing something good for myself and I should be feeling better...

But, Im not. It must be all the pollution in the air! lol I have a lot to be happy about... but Im not happy at all...which most people cant understand so I just end up feeling VERY alone.

I hope this all passes, for all of us! But, what is it thats bothering you? Just wanted to let you know your not alone...and I feel your pain. Take Care

Good Morning pastoram,

I am so sorry to hear you are feeling down in the dumps.  Coming here and talking with us is a great way to help you deal with your depression. 

Never lose hope in dealing with your fears and depression. Notice your feelings, figure out what's real, ask 'so what?', make it bigger than life, walk through it, and celebrate who you are. Do these things, make them habits, expose the ridiculousness of your fears (but in a loving way), and all by themselves they'll go away in time..

We are here for you so please do use us wisely. :)
