I've been struggling with depression for 35 of my 50 years. I've been on medication for the past 20 years. I'd like to say I know all the ways to make the right decisions, but with clinical depression you make a lot of mistakes. I've been spending more than I make for years and been married 3 times.

But I still love my children, hold down a good job and take care of my dog.

Sometimes I wish things were different. I see other people and wonder what their lives are like. I get angry at the Fates at times. But life is okay again after a good dinner and a cry.

Hello WinterGarden,

Welcome to HealingWell and the Depression Forum.  I have had Depression since 1982 along with Anxiety.  I know of the many struggles you have been through but look, here we are, still living our lifes.

Things can always be better but for me that has taken a lot of hard work and I  suspect the same is true for you too.

I am so glad you found us.

Again a warm welcome,
