i was going through a very bad time earlier this year which lasted for about 6 or 7 months and im just startin to come out of it. it was the scariest time of my life so far and i dont want to go back. ever. but im worried that i could go back to that place. if you suffer from depression once then are you more likely to suffer from it again in later life?

Nikki

I'm in my 60's, and I have had bouts of depression off and on since I was in my 30's. It is a problem that can be treated rather easily when you find the right combination of therapy and drugs.

I have been on Effexor for several years and have found it to be the best yet. Tried Zoloft before, but it did not do it for me. See your Doctor and he will be helpful I'm sure. At any rate if you come out of these spells, it is a good sign.

At times in the past this is what kept me going. ( Knowing there would be an end to my depression )

Good luck. Remember this is a good place to talk too.
