My name is Natalie and I am 16 almost 17 years old and I need help. Today, my parents and I got in a huge argument, so bad that I got my bike and rode to the park and stayed there for 2 hours so I didn't have to look at them or talk to them.

Heres what happened.

My mom and I have had a constant battle with my "messy room". Her belief is, if my room is messy, I'm a lazy person. First of all, my mom doesn't understand that all teenagers tend to not keep the room clean sometimes, am I right? Well today she got upset at me because I didn't do something for her, and she stormed into my room and saw it was a little messy. Automatically, she calls me names like: "Your going to be a nobody when you're older" "you're a dirty lazy pig" "you're worthless" "you're just a big *****" "I can't stand you" Am I supposed to accept this kind of treatment? First of all it has happened more than once, but usually I'm always working and studying so i never have time to fix my room or anything. I feel like I am living a nightmare. My dad even called me a pig too. I understand that I need to work on my cleanliness, but why do my parents have to insult me and treat me like *excuse my language* crap. I'm so sick and tired of the harsh treatment. Even with school they always tell me I'm lazy and that I'm going to end up working at McDonalds.

I need advice!

Please help me.
