for example, last night, my boyfriend decided to post something on twitter which to everyone else was so obviously him breaking up with me. i was with him and thought everything was alright, i started getting text messages and even a couple phone calls from concerned friends wondering why he dumped me and if i was okay. i then read the tweet, and even to me it seemed peculiar and hurtful. what he wrote was: 'Pulled into an empty Ralph's parking lot at 3am listening to Simon & Garfunkle's 50 ways to leave your lover. It just feels so appropriate'. when i confronted him about it, he told me all of my friends who took it the wrong way were idiots and that i was obviously not confident enough in our relationship. i still dont feel crazy for taking what he said the way that i did. however, i feel as if he doesnt realize, even after i told him that i was having issues with depression, that even something that he feels is so small and stupid can really hurt me. he really doesnt get it! as tired as i am, i still cant sleep... im so badly hurt i cant relax or feel at ease at all enough to sleep... its 7am and i have yet to rest at all...

I understand the way you feel, even if you weren't depressed, that would hurt. I don't understand why he wrote that. It sounds cold and callused.

I hope that you think this relationship through. It doesn't sound like he is on the giving end of things. Maybe he wasn't thinking straight, but I don't like what he wrote.

I hope that you can get this sorted out. And get him to talk about things. If he will. I can't figure what explanation he would have for writing what he did.

Keep posting and know that we are here for you.

Hugs, Karen
