bar77, I think the first 2 weeks I started to see signs, but I was on very high dosage (150mg thyroxine). and after that, every week was better than the one before, untill I became so active and outspoken that my doctor deciced to put me off depresion medicine a week ago, and put me on serquel to add some control, and let me sleep deeper.
sadly, the first night I slept like a baby, with the 300gm dosage at 10PM, and even slept too much, I woke up at 8:30 AM missing the dawn prayers. then talked to my doctor he said the first few days are like this.
strangley enough, the next 2 night I could not sleep more than 2 hours!!
tonight, I slept from 11:30PM to 1:30AM... duno why, just 2 hour of sleep and I do not feel sleepy at all, but my eyes are hurting a lot.
I guess maybe this serquel is not good for me.
but the good news, I did my second interview today for a nice internet company, AND IT SEEMS I GOT THE JOB! lol, well there are some stuff that need to be sorted like agreeing on salary and signing contract, but it seems my job hunt is over now :)
I have appointment on tuesday to see if we can lower the serquel, because it makes me dizzy , and also some hulusinations. but the doctor was forced to try it because I keep thinking too much all the time and very outspoken which is not normally me, maybe it has to do with the thyroid now being over-active lol.
anyway bar77, these are the values that are important for thyroid function:
T3, T4 : some sort of anzimes release and will affect many functions in the body, they are important.
THS: when this is released, it triggers release of T3,T4
Immune system: if it's tooo high it will burn T3 and T4 thinking they are a virus
when the T3 and T4 start going down, the body triggers more releases of THS to try and compensate, but if your emmune system is high enough, it will not be able to do much. the only solution in this case is to take thyrozine which will in turn boost T3 and T4
hope this helps :)
