Bless you for reading this...

I am so confused with life right now I dont even know which way to turn. I came back from school, lost my summer job, and now I have rent and textbooks and summer school to pay for. My family doesn't have money, so I just cry all the time myself to sleep trying to figure out what to do to take care of things.

My ex boyfriend was my best friend. He split up with me a few months ago and pretty much put me through hell and back with it. Then we started talking again, and now suddenly he won't talk to me anymore or respond. I dont understand why, but Im guessing a friendship is too much effort on his part?
..I just want to stay friends because we were doing just fine with that, but it's stressful trying to communicate with him.

Im trying to get a job back at school this fall and then my parents tell me not to worry about work because i need to focus on grades. I also don't really want to go back to my counselor because she told me she thinks I need to lose weight and thought I was lying to her about something we were talknig about. So going back there is something I'm debating and stressing over, too.

I just can't seem to get a grip on life. I feel so completely lost and I feel I have all these burdens on me and I'm not sure what to do.

Just breath. I understand that it is hard when you have to worry about money. My family is pretty much poor, my parents might lose the house and I am on disability so my pay is not really helping. I would suggest that you try not to worry about it. There is not much you can do right now. Try to do some breathing exercises and think of a good time. Thing normally fix themselves.

hi taryn. sorry that you are having a difficult time. losing your job sucks too!! right now i feel that you need to focus on you a bit. things have a awy of turning around. maybe a different counsellor is required, if this counsellor is not beleiving you then you need to look elsewhere. it is a shame, this person may have a different method of counselling acumen, some practice in various ways, such as CBT, CCT, etc. maybe a chat with your mental health public centre can refer you to a known and competent practicing counsellor. know that we are here for you taryn. sending healing prayers and hugs your way. jamie.

I'm sorry that you feel so hopeless and confused. Sometimes life spirals out of control and it feels like we can never fix it. You just have to try and take one day at a time, and realize that some things are just out of your control. The money, for instance. Getting a job at school is a good idea, but if you don't think you can handle it on top of everything else, it's OK! You have time, and you can focus on your education first, and then start looking for ways to get money. I'm not trying to make this sound simple- I know the stress will still be there- but just try to focus on one problem at a time.

I'm also sorry about your friend. Maybe he is having a hard time in his life as well. Just try to be supportive, and give him his space. If he wants to talk to you about something, he'll come to you, you just have to wait it out.

If it helps, keep posting your stresses on here. It'll help you vent, which might help with your anxiety. Try not to be too overwhelmed. Have faith- sending prayers and healing to you!
