I have been seeing a psychologist for about
2 months, along with my psychiatrist. My psychiatrist is now going to be working for the prison system, so I won't be seeing him anymore. He was willing to speak with my attorney concerning my disability claim. (I have both depression/OCD/anxiety and fibromyalgia) But now that he left the office, he won't be doing that for me.
My psychologist is very willing to work with me on getting my disability. We filled out even more paperwork today, and he is really going to try and get things moving. Who knows when I will get my hearing though.
I balked at getting disability all these years that I've suffered with depression. I worked several jobs, ended up in the hospital, and then got other jobs, and ended up in the hospital. I did this for 22yrs. Then I got fibromyalgia, and had to quit working 3yrs ago, altogether. Between the pain, fatigue and depression, I just couldn't pull it off anymore.
Trying to get disability has been horrible. I tried on my own and was denied. That was 1 1/2 years ago. I'm still waiting for that 1st hearing with the judge.
Are there any good stories from folks who have gotten disability? Today I got a glimmer of hope from my psychologist....but I'm afraid to get my hopes up. He said I need this sooner than later, and he will work hard for me.
Guess I just need some support. Any knowledge would be appreciated.
