Hi all~
Just wanted to let you guys know that I am still without a computer and probably will be for awhile.  We can't take up a "hardship" fund for me? LOL
Anyway, scary new meds, exciting surprises and a house all to myself again or did I already tell you that?

Im doing ok, sleeping alot better almost like I used too.  Some really touching signs lately and I think that has given me new faith in my life and boy do I need that.

You guys truly rock!!!  Well hurry up you guys and win some money!!!!LOL
Feeling ok today a little tired and once again not sleeping real well.  Had my son this weekend and we did alot together.  I didnt get to spend alot of time with him over the summer because of "the visitors" so it was a beautiful day Saturday so there is an airport a couple miles down the road and they were taking kids up in the planes for an aviation day celebration.  He had a great time and was so excited.  We went with my neighbor Gary and his son Nicky.  Gary has been really sick lately and his dialysis is taking a toll so I am trying to spend time with him before it gets cold.  I am not sure if he will be here next year.

Going to my neuro doc on wednesday to have the VNS turned off and schedule to have it removed.  I will keep you up to date.

Hey Teresa,

As always, it is great to hear from you. Or should I say "read". It sounds like you are doing okay. Glad that you could spend some time with your son and he got to go up in a plane. That is cool. I, myself, have never been up. So that must have been really exciting for him and you both. Did you go up with him?

I bet that you will be glad to have the vns removed. Is it a surgery that they will have to do to remove it? If so I wish you the best with that. And I am sorry that it didn't help you much.

I hope that you continue to have a good day today. Take care my friend. Keep us posted.

Hugs, Karen

gb~
Just wanted to stop and let you know that the vns is not going to be removed because of insurance!!!!!  I have started weaning myself off of all my meds except for the ritalin and prozac and of course the zyrem.
I feel like I am running in circles again.  Still without a computer because I need to get a job and forget that I am in pain.  Life is just a mess right now and I need some divine intervention soon!!!!!

Hi guys~
Just wanted to say hi.  Still no computer and another rash of health issues.  Really tired, I had to fight to make myself come to the library.  I noticed that nobody replied so I guess I didn't need to check in.  Hope all is well!

Hi, Faithfully for You.

I just read through your post and I'm sorry to hear that you have health issues that you are dealing with.  It is good that you had a relaxing and fun day to spend with your son though!

I felt bad when I read your ending line of going to the library to see if you had any replies and found you had none.  That really touched me, because when I post it always means so much to hear perspectives and thoughts from other people.

So, unfortunately, I do not have any real words of wisdom to offer you at the moment, except to hang in there and take one day at a time.  I know that's much easier said than done, but try to keep your mind busy with other things (hobby or reading perhaps) and that helps the time feel more productive.

Good luck with your surgery.

Cass

Hi there,  long time since I have talked with you but with Karen busy with her new job this gives me the opportunity to catch up with you.

I am so sorry to read of your problems and I promise to buy that lottery ticket.  My hubby is always telling me to win the lottery but I explain to him ~ I Need to Buy a Ticket First turn

Glad to know you have a library you can get to and use the computer.

I am guessing you are referring to a VNS implant that you want removed or am I way off base ?

Keep on posting to us and getting out and going to the Library.  I have to force myself out the door and once I get to the library I feel peaceful among the muted sounds and all those books.

Sending you healing hugs,

Kitt

Hi Teresa,

I am so sorry that I haven't been here to reply to your posts.  I started working again and I have been super busy.  Trying to get Christmas started, done and over.  I panic if I wait too long, so I start it really early, so far I have bought for three of my grandsons, but have a ways to go yet.

I hope that you are feeling well.  I am so glad to see you posting.  Sorry that you have to go to the library to do it though.  Keep us up on what is going on with you.

Take care my dear friend.

Thanks again you guys.  GB~ you have always been such a good friend, I know it is hard to stay in touch when you have to work.  I start getting depressed about this time every year with the holidays coming but this year I am really not doing well, physically or mentally.  My physical health is getting worse and I will see my doctor on Wednesday.

Just really sad.

Teresa,

I hope that your doctor can help you. It is bad enough having depression and then to have physical ailments on top of it. I truly understand, as I have fibromyalgia along with depression. Though my depression hasn't been bad for awhile, I still suffer with it from time to time. And yes the holiday season is upon us and it makes it hard. Just keep posting here and know that everybody cares about you. And we all wish you to feel better.

I am finding it harder and harder to get on the forum, as work has really interfered, but I got to do it. I like my job and that helps a ton.

Know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Hugs, Karen

Hi all~
I am sorry to report that my visit with my doc was horrible.  In fact, I am considering, no I am changing docs!  I found this doc through a friend several years ago and was impressed with his patient care.  After my visit, I must have caught him on a "day" where he was euphoric.  Long story short, I was make to feel like a hypocondriac and for serious complaints I was told it would be fine.  Having a problem with your breast I think at least warrants a mammogram!

When I left there I called my neuro doc and she is going to see me next thursday before she does rounds at the hospital.  She isnt even seeing patients that day but feels that the chronic symptoms and obvious failure of this doc to run tests needs to be addressed.

I will let you know.

Well I'll be darned, don't know how I didn't see your initial posts. I usually try to offer some kind of encouragement to everyone. Hmmm.....I slipped. Sorry.

Anyway, your last post you sound better. Glad you realized that you need to find a new doctor. Maybe started out OK, but when the heat is on, sometimes disappoint, The important thing is get to another doc soon. The breat problem could be something not cancer that needs treatment so it doesn't get worse.

What is VNS? Confused, do you want it removed?

What are your exciting new meds? How long has it been, as you are sounding better, despite not getting anywhere at the doc.

Good that you are feeling better, and think maybe its because you had the chance to spend some time with your son at last.

Glad you are encouraged so much by the forum that you manage to get yourself to the library. People are here for you.

Wishing you sunny days,
Sandy

Hi Teresa,

So glad that you posted. I am glad that you are getting a new doc. Or seeing an old one whichever the case. It really sucks when our doctors don't take us seriously. You need help and I am glad that you are getting it.

I know that this is a hard time of year for you. And I wish that your computer didn't get destroyed. By the way, did she leave yet? You have been through so much hon. I am glad that you can come here to post. Just wish we could hear from you more often.

Trying, the vns is called a Vegas Nerve Stimulant (I think). And it is an implant that I think they put in your neck or near abouts. She has been wanting it removed for a long time now. As it was not helping much. Teresa could explain it better to you, just thought that I would try.

I hope that you both are having a good day. Keep up the good work.

Hugs, Karen

Faithfully, sorry you got brushed of by your Dr, I too am happy you are getting second opinions. This time of year is hard enough, I agree, without the added load.

So pleased that you are making it to the library, thankyou for sharing your journey with us, we are privilegded for that.

Looking forward to your next update
