I posted to another member about
DBT. I'm not sure what country you're in. I'm pretty sure they have DBT in Australia & know they have it in many countries around the world.
DBT is Dialectical Behavioral Therapy & was created for people struggling with self-harm. It focuses on changing the behavior, even if the thoughts persist. There is such a mysterious connection between our thoughts, feelings, actions & words. But many times working on one of those areas will eventually bring peace to the others.
For me, I know talking about
things tends to make them worse. I do better when I focus on specific concrete things I can change. But for others, they need to be able to get their thoughts and feelings out and have a safe person to process them with. Only you can determine what is the right treatment for you (and that may mean trial & error for a while) but there are people out there who can & want to help. And many people have found safer ways to manage their stressful times.
