Hi, I am from the Lupus forum, I was recently diagnosed with depression and put on Celexa. I wanted to know if anyone had tried it and what side effects did you experience with it. Any information will be appreciated.
DX: Lupus, Asthma, Mitral Valve Prolapse, Heart Murmur, Anemia, Vitamin D def., B12 def, Hypertension, TIA, muscle weakness, numbness, tingling, headaches, night sweats, IBS.

Meds: Plaquenil, Imuran, Prednisone 10mg, vit d3 50,000, b12, Prevacid, Tramadol, Lyrica, Miralax, Vaseretic/HCTZ, ASA.

I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me.

Just a bit of info I have on Celexa.
 

Celexa's pros and cons:

Pros: Works well on the combination of anxiety & depression, is a good med to switch to if Prozac doesn't work or poops out on you as you typically avoid the short-term side effects during the switch.

Cons: The weight gain is bad for an SSRI.

I am sure you will be hearing from other members who take this medication.
