Life can move too slow for us sometimes. You are doing great, only 19, going to school and work, thats great. It will take some time before you can be independent. Don't put yourself under undue pressure. Its not good that you are staying away from your friends. You're isolating yourself. Not healthy. If you are feeling a little better sometime, make an effort to see one of them for awhile.
I didn't have a car either, no money, and it was discouraging. You're just starting out, and doing it on your own. That's commendable. Keep plugging along. Go for a walk, listen to music, take a nice bath and pamper yourself. You deserve it.

Welcome to HealingWell and the Depression Forum.  Yes, 19 year olds can have stress in their lives that interferes in their happiness.

Feelings of being trapped in your own life happens to many of us and that is when we need to regroup and ask ourselves what is it we really want to do ?  Set small obtainable goals and work toward meeting some of these goals.

Don't become isolated as another member mentioned. Try to participate in social activities, and get together with family or friends regularly.

Take care of yourself.  Eat a healthy diet, exercise regularly and get plenty of sleep.

Next time you post, let us know what your anxieties are. Identify them and put a name on them. We may be able to help.
Have you thought of going to your regular doctor and explaining that you are having such a struggle? Maybe a light anti-anxiety drug or anti-depressant for awhile would help.
