Hi Gigglegirl,

Try taking life one day at a time. We are always going to have people asking how we are doing and we are going to say fine, because we don't want to get into a discussion about our depression. And that is okay. Look for the simple little pleasures in life and enjoy them. It could really help your day to go better. Try some meditation, it is a way of feeling better that comes strictly from within. You have the power. You will find the strength. Keep posting and let us know how things are going. I hope that you feel better soon.

Hugs, Karen

Think of different answers, Not good, but hanging in there, Been better. Struggling, Not so hot, thanks for asking, life SUCKS, how is going for you ? You can make light of it be truthful.

Hope it'll feel better than "lying". My sister could have an arrow piercing her chest, and would say she is "fine", I take it to mean she doesn't want to talk about it to me.

I on the other hand, have always expounded when she asks a question, like how are the kids...I figure if you don't want to hear it, don't ask. I think she's very withdrawn. Less fun to be around than a motor-mouth like me. You can shut a motor mouth up by saying, thats enough. Couldn't pry info from my sister with a crowbar. Even the GREAT stuff.

Gigglegirl, let it all out. Well, in small increments to start.

Maybe you would feel better if you had a counselor/therapist ? Do you journal, some people love to write, and it is very therapueutic.
