It has been a while since i posted in this forum as it is my anxiety that is usually the cause of my problems. I am having a really tuff time at my workplace and feeling very harassed/ bullied by the management who do not understand what im going through and haven't a clue how to deal with someone who has mental health problems. I am hating going into work at the moment and don't no what to expect and I am having a roller-coaster of emotions and can feel myself getting really depressed again about the whole situation.

I have a big meeting on Tuesday which my union rep will be at along with my manager and HR and i really fear for my job and feel my manager wants rid of me. It has been a long time since I have felt this depressed and im worried that it is going to get worse if i lose my job and really do feel like hitting the bottle. I would be grateful of any advise from people and was wondering if any one has had similar problems in the workplace?

I try not to worry about the future -- so I take each day just one anxiety attack at a time.

Diagnosed with:- Asperger's Syndrome, gad, sad, ocd, depression, reactive arthritis
Medication:- 300mg Lyrica, 10mg Escitalopram, Serequel 25-50mg, Naproxen 1000mg

Hi Hibee,

Did they say what the meeting is suppose to be about? Are you sure it will be that type of meeting that they might want to fire you? Have you done anything that they would want to fire you for? I am just wondering if you are worried for nothing, which I truly hope that you are.

Try not to think about it too much. If you do, it will get your anxiety up. And you don't need that right now.

I really think if they wanted to get rid of you that they wouldn't have you continue to work up until the meeting. That just doesn't seem like the logical thing to do. I think that you may have gotten called into the office and fired on the spot. Maybe they are just giong to make some changes and want you aware or involved in them. Maybe I am just grasping at straws, but I think you should try not to worry about it. But please make sure to let us know the outcome of the meeting.

Take care Hibee, try not to worry too much.

And remember to breathe...

Hugs, Karen
