Hi all~
My mom left her computer with me until I can afford to get another.  She knew that I didnt want to try to sell the one I have because it was a birthday gift from someone special.  I am going to have bloodwork done monday to check for deficiencies that are causing me to be sick.

I will let you know.

Hey Teresa,

So happy that you got a computer to use. It will be nice to have you on the forum more often. Make sure to keep us posted on what is going on with you.

I hope that your appointment goes well for you. And that your bloodwork goes well. Keep us posted, as I said. Though I hope that you post before then. So glad to have you back more often. We have missed you.

I hope that your day is going well. Can you fix the other computer? Or would you be better off gettting a new one? Sometimes it is expensive to fix them depending on what is wrong with them. My stepson was thinking of giving me his laptop as it needs something fixed. All I would have to do was fix it. I have an old computer. 2002. But it works well enough for me.

Talk to you again soon, I hope.

Hugs, Karen

Thanks you guys for all the wishes...........

Well as life would have it my moms computer is not working.  I think that it is just fate that I should never ever have another computer again.  the one I have is not fixable but can be parted out.  I have become so distraught over this whole computer thing that I have just given up on them.  I will try to get to the library as much as I can.  In fact this is the first time I have even been on since my last post:(

As far as my labwork, I didnt have it done because the one test is a speciality test and of course noone in the medical profession can figure out how to do it.  I even gave them tips because I used to draw blood but everyone is "GOD" and even though I have experience with tests, they wont do it without an approval from the supervisor.  Along with that, all my chemistry panels and another drug screen have been ordered.  So when someone can draw them, I will go.  My physical ailments are pretty serious for me right now and I am depressed just trying to talk myself into a surgery that must be done.  It is funny, the one thing I like about myself has to go too!!!!!

Enough doom and gloom, sorry I dont have better news.  Another thanksgiving alone but what else is new.  I dont even remember holidays anymore.

I could use your prayers though.

Hi Teresa,

I am sorry you sound so down. I wish that there was something that I could do to cheer you up hon. Know that we think of you often. I am glad that you post when you can. Have you checked around on ebay for a computer? Is that even a good suggestion? I don't know, just a thought. My stepson has a laptop that I could have if I just got a part for it. But I don't know. My computer is old. I have never had a laptop. I am using old equipment from 2002, but it does work and that helps. Look around for a used one. It would be better than nothing. I am sorry that yours got broken. It is too bad she didn't offer to replace it. Or that you didn't have a way to pay for it or another one. I am rambling now.

Keep us posted. Know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Hugs, Karen

Computer woes are a problem, such an unknown, like when the TV goes on the fritz, what the hell? My computer is from 2000, and quite finicky at times. People laugh when they see it. Especially the laptop generation.
about the blood test, how about going to a big hospital lab? I would've been fit to be tied if that happened to me.
Don't even let a glimmer of the thought, it must be fate that I not have a computer, cross your mind. It is no one's fate to be without, or to be ill. Its not fate, things will get better. And a computer is important for communicating these days.
Holidays are over rated. A lot of fuss and preparation for one meal. One day. Sometimes the negatives outweigh the positives. I've never ever experienced one like the people on TV. Can you go to a mom and pop restaurant or diner and have a turkey dinner the day before? eve before?
What do you mean the thing you like about you has to go ?
You know, there should be, or maybe there is, a charity organization that will fix things for disabled people. Who to call, hmmmm
