HI ALL.

been up almost 2 days. slept this arvo. seen the
public shrink, wow, he was fantastic. i had an hr and
a half with him. he has been there 5 yrs, usually at my
facility 6 months is the norm. he said he does things
differently from the old days, of which i discussed
with him. and other clients from the old days have
told him the same. he was very attentive and
listened. i was crashing, and very, very tired. we
discussed my sutuation, and he beleives that my
dx of bi-polar has rolled on from the lessening
borderline traits. more mood swings and mania.

so he told me everything about lithium, and that it is
a long term medication. i will go off the cymbalta after
about a month, providing the lithium levels are in
range. lots of blood tests, due to toxicity and moreso
to the kidney. ah, karen, yes going back on abilify.
yeah!!!!! since this is a differential dx he will make
it so that i can obtain it. i asked about abilify and that
it really helped me with my thought processes, focus
and with scrambled thoughts. i said i did very well
on it when it was prescribed, i said my gp could not
prescribe it on my current dx. so good. and the shrink
confirmed that is a very effective combo.

will try to see my gp over the w/e. would like to start
on the new meds asap. okay, long couple of days. thx
4 caring. luv 2 you all. jamie.

ps, bob is in aged rehab at the moment.

Wonderful Jamie,

Seems you are well on the way to the right track - hope taking the different meds are not too lethal in the beginning.

So pleased to see Bob is also getting the help he needs

Hi Jamie,

I am so happy for you. Glad you get the abilify especially. I love it. It helps me a lot. I am glad that you found a good psychiatrist. That helps so much. Keep up the good work. Hope that you get some sleep.

Hugs, Karen

Hi Jamie,

This sounds like great news, and looks like a great step forward for you!

I'm really happy about this for you - I will continue to keep you in my thoughts.

Haven't been around of late because too much has been going on for me - that's usually the way it works - long periods of nothing, then the sky falls.

Best.

Alright Siobhan, what gives on the "squashed owl"? What does it mean? Is it a private joke? I have to know!!! I am sure that there is a story there somewhere.

Jamiee. that is such fantastic news. So, is this all because you took the Black Dog test results to the psych eval. that got the ball rolling? Such a turn-around in the attention and care you are being given. That's great.

Made my day.

very sleepless. 5am to bed this morn. cancelled my therapist.
awoke with massive migraines, vomited in bed, over my clothes and bathroom, slowly improving. anxiety-esp about the lithium. try to se the doc tomorrow. need to make some calls and other stuff. i just wish the world would be on pause for me, just for a couple of days to catch up!! i usually say that it is organised chaos, at the moment it is disorganised bi-polar chaotic madness!!! i may need to bow to pressure and
ask my doc for a referal to the council for some help assistance. oh well............keep fightin' as i do. the crashing part of rapid cycling is soooo taxing. thx 4 your care and support my friends. with luv and compassion to you all.

Hey, Guy. So sorry you're feeling bad, and suffering from a migraine to boot.
Hope you will get over that part soon. Difficult to fight battles on all fronts.
