Hello I usually am on the Crohn's board but ever since my Mom passed away suddenly from a massive stroke in Sept, I have had alot of Depression and my Dr has me take 150mg of Wellbutrin a day and 2 0.5mg Klonopin a day. It has helped some but not alot. My Mom was like my only family she was adopted and the only family she had was one sister she didn't talk to much. So my dad's side was her family (my parents were married almost 41 years) I don't get along with my Dad's side of the family. I don't like the way my Dad treated my Mom or myself, and my two brothers are alot like him. That whole side of the family is. I could go on for awhile about that but the thing is I do not talk to them so it feels like I lost my whole family when my Mom died. I have a wonderful boyfriend that has been very supportive so I am thankful for that. But I am still really struggling right now because of the Holidays coming up. I love the Holidays and so did my Mom so I want to celebrate it not hate it. It's just so hard to not have her now. Thanks for reading I just needed to get that out.

Hi Steph,

I am so sorry for the loss of your mother. Please accept my condolences. All I can say is try to remember the good things about her. Keep that close to your heart. Celebrate her life. Try not to dwell on the sad things. Embrace the fond memories that you have of her.

Are you going to any grief counseling? That might help you through this. I know after my first husband died, I should have gone and I didn't. It makes for a long time of grieving. But I have gotten past it. This year made ten years though and it was a little harder than previous years.

Know that we are here for you and we all support you

I hope that you can enjoy the holiday with your father and siblings.

Hugs, Karen

Steph,

I am so sorry about your Mother.  ((((((((((((Hugs))))))))))

I know how hard it is to face holidays without your beloved Mom with you.  Try to make this holiday a celebration of her life.  Do something special in memory of her.  Look at pictures of holidays in the past and remember the joy she brought to your life.  Talk about the great Thanksgivings you had with her.

Remember your Mom will always be with you no matter what you do or where you are she is a part of you forever.

Blessings,

Kitt
