I love poetry =], it's a great help and good "healing" activity. Hopefully poetry will make you feel better, try writing the events that have made you feel so depressed too. For example: I had a big argument with my Dad and i couldn't stop thinking about it, or going over it again and again in my mind, so i wrote it as a short story, is was good and also made me feel less... overwhelmed =].
I'm really sorry your feeling so bad that you can't bear walking about =[, maybe you should see someone, like a friend, a relative or maybe even a doctor.
