Hi All,
I've had depression for many years and the past 6 years have experienced a ton of fatigue. It keeps me on the couch with no motivation or energy and is difficult to get through the work day. I've also gained over 90 pounds because exercise is impossible right now.
Has anyone had a similar experience and if so what treatments have you found helpful?
Thanks in advance for all posts!

Hi there and welcome to the forum. Have you discussed this with your doctor? What do they say about it? You could have chronic fatigue. I have fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue (though it might just be a part of the fibro) and I get a medication from the doctor called adderall. It really helps with the fatigue. I was in bed for two years with it. I suggest you start talking to the doctor about it. Maybe they could help you. You need to walk. Even if it is just a little bit. Gradually you will go farther. Start out really slow and work your way up.

What makes you say that exercise is impossible? Because you are so tired? If you can do a little, each time it will give you more energy. It is like the walking.

I hope that you feel better soon. Keep posting, know that we all do care about you.

Hugs, Karen
