I have been fighting internal hemroids for weeks. They are not bleeding but the pain is terrible. I can't get out and do anything for fear of the pain. I can't sit at all. When I sit for any period of time that start hurting so bad that I get the shakes. These things have just messed my life up. The depression is so bad. I get so upset watching my family going and doing what they want to do and I just sit here all by myself. I get so upset every morning when my husband has to leave me to go to work. He has become almost like a self person to me. I am also having panick attacks when he leaves me. This is not my life I can't deal with this anymore. I am going to my doctor tomorrow to see about getting back on my medication for depression. Can anyone give me any advice on celexa? My mom was on this and she did really well without any side effects. I have gat to get started on something or I am going to loose it. Sorry to sound so crazy, but that is the way my life feels right now. I don't want to eat or clean or do anything anymore. This is not me. I loved cleaning my house and being active. But, when it hurts to sit that just about rules out going anywhere. I can't even stay to drive my car to go anywhere. Sorry to go on and on but you guys are all that I have to talk to right now. Thanks for listening to me.

What about a gastroenterologist, Indigo? Your general practitioner is
not qualified to help you with the current problems, I think. You need specialists, in my view. Please see them and soon. I might even say
that after you've seen your gastroenterologist, you may wish to talk
to a psychiatrist about the depression. There is definitely good help out there for you; there's no need for you to suffer as you are.

I hope you find the help you need; we are glad to have you on the forum and hope you'll keep us posted on the solution to your problems.  You may wish to talk to our forum members while you're recovering.

Take care of yourself.

Hi there,

I agree with IG, see a specialist. And yes talk to somebody about antidepressants. It is probably situational depression because of what is going on. So hopefully you wont have to be on antidepressants forever like some of us.

Seeing a psychiatrist is good. They can assess the stituation and pretty much tell what you are going to need. And I hope that you do find something that doesn't give you side effects. We are all different and need different meds. We react differently to them.

Keep posting. Know that we all care about you. I hope that you feel better soon.

Hugs, Karen

I did go to the GI doctor on Monday. He gave me a cream to use and I guess things just don't work fast enough now days. Its just that I have been having this problem for a couple of months before I decided to see the GI. I just have alot of aniexty issues in my life that I need to learn to live with. I am seeing my internal doctor in the morning to talk about some new medication. I hate to gone on ssri's but I guess that is where I am headed.

Hi, Indigo,

I'm glad that you've seen a gastroenterologist and are on medication.
I almost wish that you would see a psychiatrist rather than an internist for your emotional and anxiety worries. These specialists are so up to date on all the newest medications and will know exactly which ones are best to treat your particular needs.

A good internist is going to recommend that you see a specialist, frankly, because they recognize that you may need to talk about some things with a specialist that you don't feel free enough to discuss with an internist, who, incidentally, doesn't have all the latest about the newest medications for emotional illness because that isn't their specialty. Oh, they can treat simple depression, but you may have something else going on that needs attention.

Keep us posted and good wishes,

Don't overlook the possibility of going to a urological pain therapist. Hopefullt the medication given by your gastroenterologist will help but should conditions persist I would consider the pain therapist.
