I don't no how much more I can take. I went down this road about 7 years ago. I was on paxil for 5 years. I thought that I could manage my life without it. Boy! was I wrong. Now 7 years almost to the day that I was put on paxil I am dealing with depression again. Decided to go to doc yesterday and ask for new meds. He decided to put me on celexa. I sure hope this stuff wrongs. I have just about lost it several times. I can't stand it when everyone leaves me in the mornings to go to work. It is so quiet and lonely around here. I just feel darkness and sadness all around me. Its so hard to want to do anything. Has anyone ever tried this medicine. I go back to the doc in 2 weeks and he said I would be feeling better by then. I hope so because if I don't I can't tell you where I will be!!!!

Hi Indigo,

Celexa is suppose to be a good med, but I have never taken it. It should have you feeling better by the time you go back to the doc, but it takes six to eight weeks to reach it's full potential.

I sure do hope that you feel better soon. Because, yes depression does suck.

Hugs, Karen
