i'm 17 years old and all my life i've dealt with hardships. I thought the overly sad/angry feelings i felt were normal until recently. i was diagnosed with hpv&hsv (human papaloma virus & herpes for short). i feel as if i'm losing my mind. i cry randomly, feel like dying, get mad at people and don't know why, and i take just about everything out on my boyfriend. he loves me alot and wants to be with me. he says my anger & crying all the time doesnt bother him but i just know im pushing him away. he has them too, not saying that i got them from him , because neither of us know.

But i just wanna know, is this normal, will i get over it, is it serious, is it just life, should i see someone? please help me. i've only talked to my school counsler about the std's no one else knows besides her and my boyfriend not even my mother and i would like to keep it that way. with no one to talk to this is my last resort

hi dazed i think it is something you both should discuss. try and not push your partner away, seems as though you have a good relationship bar the condition. maybe seeing a therapist is the way to go. check with ya dr. regarding someone who specializes in this area, dr's have good people on there referal lists. hopefully more people will chime in soon, remember for some of us there are time zone things happening. this is a caring community, and i just want to say that you have been brave in posting.......so keep being brave and seek some assistance.

with compassion, jamie.......and welcome.

Did your partner give both hpv and herpes? I would be concerned about that. herpes never goes away and hpv can lead to cancer. I had hpv, got from my first husband. I didn't realize it was sexually transmitted at the time. Got other things from him too. If you have herpes, chances are your partner gave it to you. It will never go away. But can be controlled. You will have to have a c-section done if you get pregnant to prevent the baby from getting it. I would have a talk with the boyfriend if I were you. Unless you already did.

KNow that we are here to support you. I would talk to a counselor and get things sorted out. I am sorry for your circumstances. Take care and keep posting.

Hugs to you, Karen

Getting by,
I'm not sure who gave them to me but the point of it all is that i have them both. i don't have cervical cancer & i won't get it. I've had a biopsy. And even though im 17 these std's aernt anything new. i've educated my self very well on them and i would not HAVE to have a c-section unless im having an outbreak at the time im giving birth and that won't happen because i have medicine to stop my outbreaks.
thanks for your support.
