Hello,

First I'd like to thank you guys for having this platform for bringing people together and for support.

I did not think I would sign up and post on such forums but I have been hit with a Nightmare as of late.

Without going to deep into a long story. I am in my twenties. 4 months ago I was feeling great, positive and on top of the world. Then the bad luck started.

I fractured a bone and needed surgery and stayed in the hospital. Couple weeks later, I developed a cough and respiratory issue which I never had in similarity before. The respiratory problem is still on-going today(4 months). 3 months into this issue, I was given new medication. Now the bad luck continues as I had a Adverse Reaction to these drugs. AND it's like HELL now. I have a long list of symptoms including joint/tendon pain, joint/tendon/cartilage/connective tissue damage, tingling, burning sensation, brain fog, headache, quite harsh dizziness, just to name the main ones. I am physically and mentally limited. Mentally, I can't be as sharp and operative as before.

This is such a HUGE change in contrast for me. It's been a month of the constant reactions. Before all this, I was a relatively healthy person who works out and stay active.

On top of it all, there are many other factors that makes things worst. Such as my responsibilities to provide and things I still want to do. I'm dizzy as I write this.

I had major Anxiety and Depression in the past weeks and it's hard to go by. I want to feel normal again, but it's seems very distant. My social life has been decreased by 80-90% because of my limitations. VERY Lost. :(

Hello and a very warm welcome to you.

If i understand you correctly,  the medication you were taking for your respiratory problems has caused this huge reaction and you are now disabled ? I am wondering what the physicians are say about this adverse drug reaction and all the problems that have developed.  I do hope this reaction has been brought to the attention of the drug company as it should have been by the physician.

I would expect that tests etc would have been done to see what kind of damage was done from the use of the med.  I can see why you would be feeling depressed, anxious and even angry.

I am glad you have come here and shared with us.  I hope we can be of help to you.

Kindly,
Kitt

Thank you for the reply Kitt.

Yes, the medication I took was an antibiotic, Cipro, for the respiratory problem.

To make things worst, the doctor denied it was reactions to the drug and blamed it on me having lack of exercise. I mean there are times where I have not exercised for a prolonged period and these symptoms have not occurred!

To sum up my situation now is, the fractured bone that the recovery has been hindered by the antibiotic, the respiratory issue that has not cleared until today, and the adverse reactions.

:(

Hope things are good with you.
