Hi all

Just wanted to know if anyone had any success story of their hair growing back once they stopped taking their medication - specifically Wellbutrin.
I've been on 300mg Wellbutrin XL for just over a year. After 6 months my hair started falling out in chuncks, and still is. I didn't notice a major impact at first cos my hair was very thick. I also didn't make the connection between the hair loss and the wellbutrin - I thought it may have been a nutrition thing (I'm vegan). But then I had blood tests etc done and my health is good. The meds are to blame! I also read reports on the internet of others experiencing the same. But no success stories.
I now have little bald patches on the sides of my head, and still losing hair daily. Luckily my hair on top is long so it covers these. I have reduced the dose to 150mg XL for a month now because I was ready to come off the medication anyway (it's going well by the way for anyone who ever doubted they could do it!). And I will get the final reduction in dose today for the nexth month. BUT - will my hair grow back!?!?! I'm a women, so balding is not something that I had planned on :-) Help!

hi littlelee. jamie and male. i am 38 and bald on top. male patterened baldness. females via genetics can go bald regardless of meds, my mum is a good point, no meds and is bald, she wears a wig. for you i would say of to the doc. could be alepecia, not sure on the spelling. women get this mostly. mums is from this. with compassion, jamie.
