Those who listened to and answered me just over a week ago know that I was having a rough patch with flares in both Fibro and Colitis and the inevitable depression and bipolar swing that followed.

Well, I'm here to say thanks to all and that I not just made it through but came out much stronger than in the past. Today's the day that ranks as second worst in the year, close behind Christmas - my birthday.

For the first time in years, it's not too bad. My return to work (after 2 years) is now complete - last week I handled anything thrown my way and was busy the whole 12 hr shift! I left the office feeling like 'I am back!'. That's huge for me, having been in the IT industry for over 25 years and always moving forward if not up the corporate ladder.

I haven't felt this.... capable and fulfilled in over 5 years. I am proof that you CAN survive and conquer anything. Everyone can do this and everyone will reach their own milestones in their own way and time - just DON'T GIVE UP!

I'm quite sure that in no time I'll slide back into depression and hop back on that bipolar swing set, but I also know that when I do I'll be able to withstand it better and pull through it faster. Of that I am confident.

Boy is it ever nice to say that I'm confident about something - something positive.

Thanks to everyone that started and keeps this site going!
