Our sweet Kitt is going through a difficult time right now and I thought I would post it so we can give her some support and prayers.

Kitt, my friend, I hope that you get better soon.

I am not going to give out any specifics, I will let Kitt do that if she so chooses.

We love you Kitt!!!

If it's depression bothering you, kitt, here are a few ideas that work for me:

Never judge yourself based on what someone else's idea of who you are.  People reveal more of themselves when they speak than anything else.

Stop judging yourself negatively or positively; don't even judge yourself at all--just live life based on your deepest inner principles.

Try to lose interest in conflict and lose the ability to worry.
Try to let things happen rather than make them happen.

Try to think and act spontaneously rather than based on fear or past
experiences.

Take a couple of Alkaseltzers if sleep is interrupted in the middle of
the night--I can say only that it works for me.

Work on your contented feelings of connectedness to God, especially, and others.  Remember "All things work for good for those who..." you know the rest.

With respect and affection,

It's Genetic

Thank you all and thank you Karen.

I had a stroke about 10 days ago and now am off to visit all the neurologists in the Twin Cities.  I am having a hard time this believing this has happened and have a lot of denial going on along with feeling down.

Your prayers are appreciated and badly needed.

Hugs,
Kitt

Kitt,

So sorry to hear this.  My father had a stroke a few years ago, so I know the work involved to recover.  I wish you all the best.  It will get better!

Good Morning Friends,

Off to see the neurologist this afternoon.  Practicing my typing here is good for me as I try to relearn my spelling.  I do go back and correct my errors.

Thank you all and keep the prayers coming.

Gentle Hugs,

Kitt

Kitt,

Make sure you let us know what the neurologist says. I hope that you are feeling better than you were. Coming to terms with this is scarey I am sure. It could happen to any one of us. So it kind of sinks in to me. I don't have the best healthy habits. I want to try to be more mindful of my health. But not to the point that I worry about it.

We will be waiting to hear what is said.

Hugs, Karen

You sound strong, Kitt. I hope it all turns out to have been a very, very mild stroke that you may recover from  easily with no lingering
difficulties. (And don't worry about the spelling; I proof read all the
time and still make numerous errors; it's a bit like knitting!)

My prayers are being sent up for your good health.

To all,

The neurologist  basically said " and why are you here, you look fine to me" and just keep taking your baby ASA daily.  Seems like we were not a good fit.  He did not seem to be interested in what had happened in the past 11 days and blew me off.

My physical issues are resolving well and I will follow up with my PCP. No more giant ego physicians.  rolleyes

So I keep moving forward.  You are all so kind and thank you for your prayers and support.

Kindly,
Kitt

Oh Kitt, I'm glad I spotted this. I keep an eye on facebook and wouldn't have known otherwise.

Strokes sound scarey, my mother-in-law had one last year and I was so worried, just as I was when I read your first post in this thread. I hope things are getting better for you, and I hope this is your last ever stroke. Infact hear that God? no more strokes for Kitt please if you're listening.

Big sparkley hugs and I hope you're feeling really really good soon, and like miraculous things happen to make you feel just 18!! In spirit and body.
Hugs

Kitt,

I am sorry that your doctor wasn't a good fit. It sucks when that happens, but I think it happens from time to time to all of us. There is nothing worse than a doctor asking why you are here in that tone. I think it makes a person feel stupid, like "what is going on?". I am glad that your regular doctor is good. And I am having faith that you are going to be feeling good soon. Please do take care.

Hugs, Karen

Kitt,

Hope each and everyday finds you feeling better and better! You have always been a source of connectedness on this forum for me, as I have trouble connecting with people.

Take care of yourself and blow off the Drs that make you feel bad for being their! What is up with that? They are everywhere.

In my prayers...........I planted a lovely lavendar plant today, I will name it Kitt and since I do have a green thumb, I pray you will both thrive and flourish in the beautiful spring weather.

Good vibes out into the universe to Kitt!

Kitt,

You are a kind, caring person, and I have a lot of respect and affection for you. I am so sorry you are going through this, and on top of it you get a doctor w/an Ego issue! Welll, I'm glad you don't have to see him. You can see a different doctor if need be. Praying for a fast and full recovery for you, sweet lady.

Kitt,
I will never understand why we can get up on a horse and then something knocks us down, yet we get up, dust off, and try to get back on the horse, because whatever chronic pain we have from lupus, depression, crohns and so on there is a common thread amongst all of us. HOPE. I know the feeling, when i went to the twin cities to mayo i had a terrible time with migraines and other issues and the dr said it was because my husband was serving in iraq. i laughed because i had the problems for several years, and he was only gone 18 months. I felt like a number, like what i was telling them didn't matter, like i was a hypochondriac, (which would have been better than....) feeling like i was not worthy of their time.

You are worthy of a Dr.s time. At some point you will be led to the Dr. that will truly listen and get your whole medical problem not try to divide you into categories. You will have more days of joy than pain. God is by your side. This too shall pass.

With healing thoughts, May God keep his hand of protection over you so that you will heal more quickly and have less mental and physical pain.

I am overwhelmed with your kind thoughts. I know I am a big pusher of advocating for yourselves but when your in the moment it it hard to just stand up and leave with some choice words behind you.

When the Dr. asked me "Who told you , you had a stroke ?",  I wanted to say "God" idea
I am glad He gave me a sense of humor.  I will continue to follow up with my PCP and if I have sudden sx I will go to our own ER for evaluation.

Happy Week-end to all.

Gentle love and hugs,

Kitt
