I don't even know how to start this. I am in a terrible place and feel like I have no one to turn to. I recently moved to a new city, which in and of itself is pretty darn scary, but I've also been trying to get a job. For the most part, I've been pretty realistic after my interviews (of which there have been many); however, I just got rejected for a job I really thought I was going to at least get a second interview for.

I can't stop crying, and can't see how things will get better.

To compound my depression, I made a series of poor choices that I am afraid lost me my one friend here.

It's St. Patrick's day, and I can't get ahold of any of my family on the phone. I just want to curl up and give up.

Hi Bluemoon,

I just wanted to say that things happen for a reason. Maybe there is a perfect job waiting for you somewhere. One that is better than the one you wanted. Don't let this get you down. Keep trying. Don't give up. You will find the right job for you. And if you get one that isn't so good, you can still look and work it at the same time. Keep your chin up and know that we all care about you.

Hugs, Karen

Thanks for the support. I don't want to give up, but trying my hardest isn't good enough. How is it possible that every part of my life is in shambles? I've heard that if you're successful professionally, then your personal life suffers and vice versa, but it's really terrible to be failing at both...

I just started Nortriptyline, but feel worse. ?

If you don't start feeling any better soon, I would contact the doctor. There might be something that is better for you. I really hope that you feel better soon. And I know that things will get better soon. It just takes time to deal with all the different things, then they work themselves out sometimes. I guess it depends on the event. Keep your chin up as they say. Know that we care and are thinking of you.

Best wishes,

Hugs, Karen

I've called the doctor to become a new patient; I haven't gotten a response yet. His message says "I'm scheduling into April, so if you can wait that long please leave a message". I don't mind waiting a couple weeks to have an appointment, IF anyone ever calls me back...

I feel so selfish for even writing here. Thank you for your thoughts, it really helps knowing I'm not alone. I just don't know what to do anymore...
