am new to this site, just lost my husband 1 month ago. I go in and out of deep depression.  Going on sites like this help because I feel you all understand.  I posted yesterday and feeling a little better today. Went running which helps but sometimes I just want to give up. The pain is so bad, but I know this is still so new. I was married 34 years and it all happened so quickly and was not expected.

I am so sorry for your loss. Are you going to counseling or in a support group, church, talking with close friends?

I started a grief support group a week after and now I am starting with a therapist who specializes in grief. Anything I can do to help, I am doing. I am keeping busy which I did not do when my parents died so I am doing everything completely different this time, except the pain of losing my husband seems so much worse. I loved him so much and we were best friends even after all that time which is a blessing.

Do you have friends and family to help you get through this? I know it is really hard. I did start a thread for you. But this is okay, but you might want to check it because there were responses on it.

I hope that you feel better, keep posting. It does help.

Hi! I lost my hubby last October, so I know how you feel. Our 35th anniversary was in Nov. Before he died, I was going through a lot with his illness, so my doctor put me on antidepressant. It really helped.

I'm so sorry for your loss.
