Hello, I am new to this and I cannot get over the constant emptiness and hurt in my heart. I need help and support. My parents are trying everything they can but we do not have very much money. I am still recovering from the death of my mom's close friend. She helped me two. She helped me get passed my hard times. I know my mother should be able to do that but it is not the same. I do not understand life at all. I know I shouldn't at the age 13 but still. I feel lost and insecure. I am bullied at school and it does not help matters. I know I have depression and anxiety. It get it from my mother who has it really bad and is on medication for it. My past and experiences have made me very mature for my age. I have depression so bad that I barely have enough strength to get up in the morning or to do my homework or just to do anything it seems like. Please help me and give me some answers.

i think it is real important for you to find someone you can talk with. i am very sorry for the loss of your friend. do you have a school counsellor that you could see? also you need to find a way of getting to the dr. for an assessment, i feel it important for you to be assessed by a medical professional. it is possible that you may require some medications also. depression sux, but there is ways of managing it. more people will come on and give you further info soon.

tiger, you have been brave coming on, so well done. keep being brave and think about getting help for you. i sending much healing compassion your way. please remember that you are indeed a unique individual with gifts and talents unique to only you-and you are allowed to ask for help. i know you are there for your mum, but you need help too, and that is totally ok. we are here for you, we care here. jamie

LonelyTiger234,

Welcome to the forum. You have come to a good place for support. The members here are very kind and compassionate.

I agree with Jamie, a school counselor would help, plus a trip to the doctor. I am sorry that you inherritted this illness. But it can be overcome. Keep posting and know that we all care about you. I am also sorry for the loss of your mom's friend.

Hugs, Karen

Thank you, both. I do have 1 question. Could I get an online counselor where it is just a counselor. I will not leave this place it is nice and I feel a teeny bit better but we are very very low on money and usually can not afford to get me to places I need to go. So I was wondering If there was anywhere I could go online that is free. I need an educated and professional doctoral help. I know this by the way I have been acting and feeling. But I love coming to this site now know people do care.

Lonelytiger,

Here are a couple of sites that might help you.  Many mental health facilities do operate on a sliding scale so that might make one on one counseling more available to you.  It doesn't hurt to inquire.

I hope that these sites to help you.  There have been many members who have benefited from them.

Let me know how it goes.  I will try to find more for you too.

Hugs, Karen

Hi Lonelytiger234: Karen and Jamie have already given you excellent advice. But your post touched me so I wanted to let you know that you will be loved and supported at this website. Meanwhile, keep looking for that professional help. Is your mom aware that you are seeking this...is she able to help you?

Good luck.

Cass

Hey,
Your in the exact same position i am in. My moms best friend died, I have such an ache in my heart, Its sometimes physically disableing. You will get through this troubling time. It may seem far off, but it won't be forever. Remember hurt happens for a reason. Maybe something is happening in your life that makes you feel this way and it could be fixed. Keep your chin up!
Good luck!

Thank you guys so much you guys are all so nice and your advice is great, Sorry It took me so long to respond. My mother does know and she is going to try to get me to a counselor.

And Karen the online counseling sights are doing pretty good for me but my mother wants me to get to a counselor That ican see in person, she thinks it is better that way and I agree.

On the bright note my uncle is going to get me a horse, and that is going to be my BEST FRIEND!!!! :P

Tiger,

I am so happy for you. I am glad that you are going to be able to see a counselor. And I am so happy about the horse that you are getting. When I was a kid, I had horses. Not a lot at a time, but numerous ones. I just loved them. They are too much work for me now, so I have dogs. I love them too.

I hope that things continue to go well for you. Keep posting when you can.

Hugs, Karen
