I have been battling depression for more than 10 years and it seems I have tried
every medication out there. None helped for very long. Several months ago I went on Saphris, and it turned out to be a nightmare. I began having the worst depression I have ever experienced and as it worsened, the doctor kept increasing the dosage until I couldn't take it anymore. The withdrawal symptoms were a nightmare. I started having anxiety I'd never had before.

It took a full two weeks to feel half way normal after that experience.
Now my doctor has prescribed Cymbalta and I have read horror stories of the withdrawal from it and I am terrified to start taking it.
Please, if anyone who has had experience with cymbalta please tell me about it.
I am reading a book about battling depression without drugs; walking,
fish oil supplements, daily multivitamins, sunlight, etc. I don't know what to do.
The depression is maddening. I would love to hear some comments.

Unfortuantely i cannot share any experiences with cymbalta, but I have incorperated my perscription medication with various natural methods and it is helping more than just using medication.
I hope there's some info here that you can use.

Hi Clues,

If you do decide to take the cymbalta, still take the fish oil and also try viramin D3. It is a very good supplement. I hope that you try the cymbalta and that it works for you. I have been on many anti depressants. Finally found what works for me. Keep trying. And keep posting.
