Hi, I understand the worry you have about your son being in the hospital.  Why did the dr.'s feel he needed to be in the hospital.  What type of symptoms did he have?  Has he been dx with something by a pdoc. or did things just start happening?  Was he already on meds. for something or was he hospitalized so they could watch him as they adjusted on some different meds?  There are alot of reasons the dr.'s think hospitalization is necessary, every person is different.

roselady, i was hospitalized for a month once, i would suggest you visiting and calling him often and it can get loonly at times. maybe send him a good book or some snack / home made food.. that is the general advice i can give .. and tell him to be patient it's not eazy i am sure i hope he gets better...

personally i was put in the hospital in the addicts section, because i was an internet games addict... now off it for 3 1/2 months ..
